        What was the key motivation behind the establishment of tolimit?
        Turning my two hobbies, motorsport and people, into my career: Of course I never imagined at the time that it would reach the scale it has today.
         
        What is particularly important for you in business?
        It may sound corny, but honesty, trust, loyalty. Many talk about these attributes but few practise them. Hence I am particularly pleased that our partners are exactly on our wavelength.  

        What is the background to the new slogan, “winning together”?
        It’s based on that fact that we are always trying to bring people together in a way that benefits everyone. I think we do that pretty well and our partners certainly often commend us on this approach.

        What for you is really typical of tolimit?
        Our “nothing is impossible” philosophy. Making the impossible possible.
        And putting people at the centre of everything we do.

        How important is loyalty to you?
        Hans-Bernd (Kamps) always says I am the most loyal person he knows. If he says that, it must be true. Which I say out of blind loyalty to him.☺

        Why is it that guests are so fascinated by your events?
        Very simply: Enthusiasm is born when expectations are exceeded. And we work very hard to achieve that every day.

        What do you see as your most important responsibility?
        Communication, communication and again communication. Dealing with things before they get out of hand. Building bridges and clearing up misunderstandings.
        At the end of the day, we are all only people.  

        Professional know-how or gut instinct – how do you find the right people for tolimit?
        Both are important aspects. Of course they need to have the right specialist knowledge. But it’s also important to have the right chemistry. I have to say this strategy has served us well so far.

        In confidence: how do you become a personnel developer at tolimit?
        Ideal requirements are an unorthodox haircut and training as a mechanic. It worked for me in any case. But seriously, the decisive factor was that I really wanted it.

        What makes a good networker, in your opinion?
        A fantastic network of contacts is important, of course. A good networker must also have 100% integrity and be trustworthy. But the most important asset is to have a good sense for people.

        Why do sports play such a big role as a working platform for tolimit relations?
        Because you meet so many interesting people in such an arena. And because you can talk about business in a far more relaxed and natural way when enjoying sporting events than when in the office.

        What drives you personally in your work?
        Quite simply, I find it hugely enjoyable to get to know new and interesting people every day. And I put that desire to good use for our customers and partners.

      tolimit’s story so far, without claiming to be a comprehensive review:

      In 1993, Hans-Bernd Kamps founded his own racing team and immediately took on the role of driver himself.
      In 1994, tolimit practised live cooking in the paddock for the first time at race weekends, and established itself as a culinary trendsetter in the motorsports scene.
      In 2000, tolimit met an up-and-coming Formula BMW driver called Timo Glock and, over the course of the subsequent years, helped make him into a Formula 1 driver in spite of all the inherent adversities associated with the business.
      In 2002, tolimit placed its fleet of 12 yellow Porsche Carreras in the company car park. It then had to constantly explain that it was not a car rental firm but that these were driving machines for events providing unique racing experiences.
      In 2003, Hans-Bernd Kamps left his specialist tyre business with a heavy heart. It’s sometimes necessary to make such decisions in life…
      In 2006, tolimit and its racing team celebrated victory in the Porsche Supercup in Monaco. And team manager Jörg Michaelis paid for the celebrations with a broken nose.
      In 2007, tolimit christened a truck trailer with the name “Business Truck”, thereby laying the foundation for many of today’s successful business platforms and relation management concepts.
